“Shell People” or “Sandbags” are a form of parasitic neoanima that reside in, disembowel, kill, and puppet their human hosts. The host’s internal organs are dissolved and the hole is filled with a grainy substance resembling Earth sand, though lab tests show an alien chemical composition. They are known to imitate the host as they acted in life, though with limited capacity for thought.

The Shell People have been known to be very violent towards particular agents. Nighthawks have received early warnings to suggest the shells are being used as mercenaries in distant states, though this has yet to be verified. There isn’t much known about their motives or their level of cognizance.

Avoid them whenever possible. Killable through slash attacks, though be advised on the environmental hazards of spilling the “sand” onto the ground. Effects still unknown.
